Monza saved!
April 12th, 2006
The F1 juggernaut will have the last laugh and not some rickety old Judge from Monza as the council of Lombardy today revealed that the 2006 edition of Monza would take place on September 10 as per schedule.
It appears that the imposed restriction of 70 decibels is void for 37 days each year, which means that F1 and F3000 can take place without a problem.
Formula One cars emit upto 130 decibels, but I am sure that hearing this news, the Tifosi can holler louder in merryment!

I’d say common sense has won the day but the fact it got this far is more worrying. That some Johnny-come-lately can buy a house beside a historic motor racing circuit then bring that circuit’s raison d’etre into question and almost succeed really boils my blood. It is everything that is wrong in society today ! That pesky noisy minority need shooting they do !
