Renault have launched the R26 which will defend their titles.
The Renault site has the details, but I can’t access the photos as the site won’t allow me to register. So for pictures go to F1Racing.net.
Carlos Ghosn, the boss of Renault, had this to say when asked about Renault’s future in F1:
As long as we continue to perform well, we offer a good show, and obviously we are at the top level of Formula One, then there are not questions about the future in Formula One.
Obviously, there is some uncertainty about the conditions in which Formula One will evolve beginning in 2008. This is not a preoccupation of Renault alone, it is a preoccupation for all manufacturers trying to figure out what will be the environment of Formula 1.
But if I eliminate this uncertainty, if I consider that we are going to come to a good resolution of the questions we have, and that Formula One will continue to have a good, fair return on investments for car manufacturers in general and for the winner in particular, then we must be there.
In the meantime, I am counting on the Renault F1 Team, on the team we have in Enstone and the people in Viry-Châtillon to really perform well, to offer us a good show and hopefully bring back the trophy again in 2006.

WilliamsF1 launched its 2006 season race car, the FW28, at its headquarters near Oxford this afternoon. The FW28 is a manifestly purposeful race car, its defining visual cue being the aggressive barbed sting on the back of the engine cover.
The car is both a response to circumstance, including the shifting technical regulations and the new primary partnerships the team has forged with engine supplier Cosworth and tyre company Bridgestone, as well as being its own clear statement of intent.

Currently, the movie felt by many to be the greatest auto racing film of all time, John Frankenheimer’s epic ‘Grand Prix’ is not available on DVD.
The rights holder, Warner Home Video, says they have no plans to release ‘Grand Prix’ on DVD, claiming they have received ‘no requests’ to do so.
So the site linked below is running a petition to get WHV to change their minds. Over 6,000 signatures now. Well worth signing as it’s a fantastic movie - must be one of the few multi-Oscar winning films not to be on DVD (or even PAL VHS as far as I know).

Juan Pablo Montoya has told the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport that he is shopping around for a drive in 2007. The Colombian has a contract with McLaren until the end of 2006. There are rumours that the team had an option on Montoya for 2007 and beyond but did not take this up when the deadline came up recently. Montoya says that he will stay at McLaren if the team wants him but he is aware that Fernando Alonso is joining the team in 2007 and that McLaren and Mercedes sources are both saying that Kimi Raikkonen may yet stay. If that were to happen, Montoya would be out of a drive anyway.
